Local Tour

Ten kilometres from the resort is Palasgaon, a village known for its variety of bamboo products produced here. This region of Maharashtra is famous for the abundance of bamboo, and the residents of Palasgaon had, a long time ago, the economic viability of goods produced from bamboo. Here, you can buy plethora of bamboo items- vases, lampshades, baskets, bins, furniture, kitchen items etc. You can watch these craftsmen chiseling away at bamboo shoots, and also learn from them.

Our guests have a variety of stays to choose from- deluxe rooms, suites and cottages. Irrespective of the room you choose, the one thing you can be sure of is exemplary hospitality and a comfortable stay with all the expected amenities.

Lounge Area

The lounge area, neighbouring the restaurant, is a large space decorated with local art and crafts depicting life at Tadoba. Well-furnished with couches and tables, the lounge doubles as a library with one corner occupied by some good fiction and non-fiction titles, especially ones related to wildlife. Spend some quiet moments here to unwind, catch up on your reading or watch the television if you're really feeling the need to reconnect with the real world.

Restaurant/Conference Hall

Mahua Tola has a 24 capacity restaurant which serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare. The cuisine served is mostly made from food-material grown on the resort or sourced locally, and is a mix of traditional Noth-Indian/Mughlai fare with some local dishes thrown in for good measure. When not serving lip-smacking meals, the restaurant doubles as a conference hall, which has hosted several corporate conferences, seminars and get-togethers owing to the resort's wild-but-sophisticated appeal.

The Tadoba Andhari Tiger Project despite its relative anonymity, is an exhilarating wildlife destination. The largest and oldest national park in Maharashtra, the Tadoba Andhari Reserve is known for its high probability of sighting a tiger. The local culture is rustic and earthen, drawing from the rich tribal legacy of the Gond tribes who've lived here for long and have lent the region with vibrant folklore, cuisine and culture. The word Tadoba is itself from a Gond folklore of a local deity who was killed by a tiger. The rapid prosperity of Maharashtra has given Tadoba an interesting mix of old with new, rustic but modern, thrilling yet calming.
