An exclusive 600-metre trek through the scenic pine and deodar forest cover is the only way to reach V Resorts Queens Meadows, which is part of our premium Black collection of exquisite holiday destinations. The stone and wood villas are made from old-world British barracks and offer expansive views of the snow-capped Himalayan ranges (especially between October and March). Five km away from an already sleepy Ranikhet town, in the middle of 200 acres of forest cover, with no TV, a step back in time is a living reality here. Guests can experience nature and pick from doing yoga on a jut-out rock, trekking, rappelling, rock climbing, village walks, golf or paragliding, or just lounge near the jungle stream and read with chirping birds for company. Welcome mornings with a view of the mountains from the villas’ beds, followed by breakfast on the deck, dinner and barbeque in the woods. An eco-resort, Queens Meadows prides itself on sourcing food locally, and customises the menu according to guests' preferences. The villas, inspired by provincial homes, promise a pristine Kumaon experience.
