Remote and inaccessible for centuries, the great Kumbhalgarh Fort, which has the world's longest wall after The Great Wall Of China, remained impenetrable to enemies. Today, thanks to its proximity to Udaipur, Kumbhalgarh is emerging as a stand-out destination for history buffs as well as the general traveller.
Standing majestically aloof and designed to give you an authentic feel of this historically tumultuous land, V Resorts Lake Alpi provides the perfect getaway to explore Kumbhalgarh. Take a trip to the stunning Kumbhalgarh fort, where the legendary ruler of Mewar Maharana Pratap was born, and explore the flora and fauna of the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary (both places are 20km from the resort).
Take in the quietness and reflect on the rich cultural legacy of the place as you spend a lazy morning in the resort’s elegantly done-up rooms or the pretty garden overlooking the lake, which is home to dozens of species of birds.

Rajasthan is the land of temples, with interesting stories to tell, just about at every turn of the road. And Kumbhalgarh boasts of a few better known temples of the region. Visit them and hear the locals' stories about them. Vedi Temple: The three-storied Jain temple built by Rana Kumbha was later renovated by Maharana Fateh Singh. It is believed to have originally been a sacrificial temple. Ranakpur Jain Temple: Located some 55km from Kumbalgrh, the famous Ranakpur Jain Temple is dedicated to Tirthankara Adinatha. Its construction started in the 15th century. Parshuram Temple: Legend has it that the sage Parshuram meditated in this ancient cave. Now a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva marks this place, 9km from Kumbalgarh fort. Shrinathji Temple: This Krishna temple in Nathdwara, some 60km from Udaipur, was built in the late 17th century and is an important pilgrimage site.
