Located 344.6 kms from Mumbai and just 15 kms from Ratnagiri and Ganpatipule, V Resorts Athithi Parinay is a homestay that allows you to unwind and relax, while staying away from the touristy crowds. Add to that there are plenty of balconies, verandahs, terraces and patios that provide plenty of open space for both guests and their pets. Go Local

It is easy to spend your day lounging in your hammock, but stepping out has rich rewards too. Start your day with a quick session of yoga or meditation, post which you can enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast at the resort itself. After your meal, you can explore the expansive plantations around the resort or go for local sightseeing as well. If you are a beach enthusiasts, you can visit the Aare and Ware beaches that are located only 5 kms from the resort. Both these beaches are relatively unspoilt and generally free from tourists, so you will easily find a good spot to soak in all the sun that you want.

PS: Other beaches that you can visit in the vicinity includes Neware, Bhandrpule, Ganapatipule and Malgund beaches.

Once you have had your fill of the beach, head out and visit the Ratnadurga Fort that is located 15 kms from the resort. Spread across an area of 120 acres, the fort os surrounded by sea on three sides. There is a temple inside the fort called the "Bhagwati Mandir" which is dedicated to the Goddess Bhagwati. In addition, there is also a lighthouse nearby that offers spectacular views from the top (the lighthouse is 35 kms from the resort).

If you have more time on your hand, other local spots that you can visit includes temples like the Karhateshwar temple and Hedavi Velneshwar. You can also stop at Tilak Samarak (birthplace of Bal Gangadhar Tilak) and Thiba Palace  (built for the exiled King and Queen of Burma in 1910-11), both of which are within drivable distance from the resort.

V Tip

  1. Carry sturdy shoes because there are multiple trekking trails around the property, where you can go for long, leisurely walks

  2. As of now, the resort only serves vegetarian food. Also, alchohol is strictly prohibited at the resort.

By Rail: Nearest railway station: Ratnagiri station - 25 kms

By Air: Kolhapur airport  — 150km

By Road: From Mumbai — 344.1 kms

All the trains going up to Tiruantpuram stops at Ratnagiri Station including Rajdhani express.
From Mumbai and Pune There are night buses which drops at bus Stand, one can take riksha from there.

Atithi Parinay can be easily accessible by google maps... but we suggest one easy road. as google generally shows roads which are closer but not recommended.

Here it goes from pune Reach Karad- take right turn @kale fata-drive up to malakapur taking kokarud road.... take right turn @ malakapur- drive up to hathakhamaba- take right turn towards (here google ask you to take left, DO NOT TAKE THIS LEFT) drive 5 kms and take left turn @ Nivali fata- drive 10 kms and take left turn @ tivarad police chk post.... drive abt 400mtr and reach "V" take right and drive 10 kms reach kotawade village and look for ICICI bank and take right turn and drive until you see Atithi parinay board on our gate Here it goes from Mumbai Take mumbai pune express way- exit for imagica- take left turn after pali ganapti - this is bombay goa highway - drive up to nivali fata which is about 100 minutes from chiplun- and take right turn @ Nivali fata- drive 10 kms and take left turn @ tivarad police chk post.... drive abt 400mtr and reach "V" take right (DO NOT TAKE LEFT) and drive 10 kms reach kotawade village and look for ICICI bank and take right turn drive until you see Atithi Parinay board on our gate.
