Birding in Rajaji
For nature lovers, and bird watchers, Rajaji is the place to be. The diverse, vivid forest cover with deciduous trees, riverine vegetation scrublands, grasslands and pine cover make it a home for 500 species of birds. Take a guided tour into the forest, or take a walk from V Resorts to the nearby canal to spot the variety the reserve boasts of. Sitting in the resort itself, you can indulge in some leisurely birding.

Arrive at V Resorts Rajaji National Park by noon and start your stay with a relaxing welcome drink made of fresh local fruit juices.
Lunch at V Resorts Rajai is a great Indian fare where you’ll get to savour unpolished pulses cooked with herbs and spices grown in the resort, local cuisines like Chainsoo (dry or gravy dish using Black Chickpeas), Kafuli (thick gravy from leafy vegetables), Jholi (thin gravy with tomatoes, potatoes), Phaanu (multi-Dal preparation), Roat (sweet bread made with jaggery, wheat flour and fennel soaked water) etc.
Spend the afternoon getting to know the Resort and the location. Enjoy a detoxifying spa treatment or laze your noon away on poolside deckchairs while reading some interesting birding books. You may also order for some fresh local juices to be served beside the pool.

Early morning set out for a wonderful birding experience in the forest of Rajaji National Park. The bird diversity in Rajaji National Park is very rich because of located in Eco-tonal zone and also because of different kind of habitats present in it. Rajaji is home to some 400 species of birds. The sight of birds like Longtailed Minivent, Little Egret, Painted Stork, Himalayan Griffon, Bluethroated Barbet, Redbilled Blue Magpie and many other are sure to leave you wonderstruck Come back and enjoy a full English breakfast with live egg counter

Overnight at the resort
On Day 3 early morning again set out for a short birding tour near the barrage on River Ganga near Haridwar city. The backwater of the reservoir, as well as a small stretch of the River Ganga, lie in the Rajaji National Park. These water bodies attract a lot of resident and migratory water birds in winter. Thirteen species of birds have been identified at the reservoir, including Darter Anhinga melanogaster, Painted Stork Mycteria leucocephala, Black - Necked Stork Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus. .
