Mussoorie tours

Explore Mussoorie

The Queen of the Hills!

The foundations of modern Mussoorie were laid in the first half of the 19th century during the rule of the British East India Company. Today it's among the most visited places in Uttarakhand's Dehradun district. Popular with honeymooning couples and families for generations, Mussoorie offers spectacular views of the mountains. Its tourist buzz, much-sought after bazaar and pleasant climate make for an ideal holiday getaway. Here are some things that you can do in this town.

Gun Hill - The second-highest peak in Mussoorie, Gun Hill is known for the breathtaking views of the whole town, the Himalayas and even Dehradun in the distance. Although it is possible to drive and walk to the top, we suggest taking the ropeway to the top.

Lal Tibba - A Himalayan peak, Lal Tibba is a major tourist attraction in Mussoorie. Located in Landour, it is the highest peak there, and just perfect for viewing the Himalayas till far into the distance and also to enjoy the impossibly beautiful scenes of sunrise and sunset. You may also pay a visit to the famed Ruskin Bond’s house nearby.

Sir George Everest’s house - A little less than 5 km from our resort is Sir George Everest’s house and laboratory, now also known as the Park Estate. For the uninitiated, Sir Everest was the Surveyor General of India from 1830-43 and lends his name to the tallest peak in the world, Mount Everest. The way to the estate, most of it motorable and then by a short trek, is an experience in itself, taking you past views of the Doon Valley and Himalayan peaks and into the Benog Wildlife Sanctuary, where the estate is located.
