Mashobra tours

Explore Mashobra

Beyond Shimla

While Mashobra is the retreat that’s been calling out for its immersion in nature, one can also venture out and explore the region and its rich diversity.

Sipur Temple - Half km from the resort is the Sipur temple. A local legend, it is a must visit, but the walk from the camp to the temple is an experience in itself. Through a path strewn with pine cones, thick wood cover, accidental seasonal streams, chirping birds, and glimpses of the adjacent western, you reach the temple. A brook lies here, and so do the many centuries-old deodar trees, that the locals revere, as it belongs to the local deity. The temple is usually shut but is open only thrice a year, when the local deity, Seep, is brought to it. Seep's a local avatar of Lord Shiva.

Shimla - Known as the queen of hills, Shimla has sightseeing options aplenty. From a visit to mall road to a train ride on the kalka- Shimla line. From the viceroy’s castle to the towering Hanuman temple – Shimla is one the most popular hill sations in the country let alone in Himachal.
