Whether you are looking for small hidden gems like Hampi or cities with a strong historical significance like Mysore, South India has something for every type of traveller.

Start your trip at Bangalore, which is the IT capital of the country. After a locally inspired breakfast, head to Bangalore Fort or Tipu Sultan’s Palace, which are some of the star attractions of the state. Also, no trip to Bangalore can be called complete without a visit to the Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the State Government, and the equally iconic Attara Kacheri. Highly recommended!

Home to the famous Dasara festival, a 600-year-old tradition, Mysore is a perfect blend of history, culture, and architecture. Nandi statue, Government House, Devaraja Market, Oriental Research Institute, Ornamental Gateway, Lokaranjan Palace and Chamundeshwari Temple are some of the few places that merit a visit during your stay here.

Touristy and charming, Ooty has successfully drawn tourists from all over the country. With its mix of Hindu temples with beautiful gardens, an international school and charming Raj-era bungalows, there are a host of attractions here for both the active and laid back traveller. The botanical gardens and Ooty Lake are the other attractions to visit. You can go boating on the lake and the kids can enjoy a toy train ride around the banks.

Your next stop during your travel is Kodaikanal which is located in Tamil Nadu. Shimmering with rich wildlife and mist-laden trails, make time to visit the Kodai Lake, popular for its boating or trek to nearby waterfalls, and trot up woodsy trails on horseback. If you have more time, pick up scrumptious fruit preserves at Cinnabar or just call it day and unwind in the balcony of your room, while enjoying the panoramic views spread all around.

End your trip at Coimbatore, which is popular for its textiles. And while it is not as popular as the destinations mentioned above, there are quite a few things that you can do here. Start your day with a visit to the flower market, which are a unique local experience and a chance to capture some incredible frames in your camera. Post a quick breakfast you can visit the temples and waterfalls that are scattered around the city. Wind down with a yoga session at one of the many centers or go shopping for local products in the market nearby.

Suggested Itinerary

South India has plenty of gems that are yet to be explored or become a common tourist spot. And today you will embark on your journey to visit a couple of those places.

First day is all about exploring the Silicon Valley of India - Bangalore. Check in your resort/hotel by afternoon. Relish your welcome drinks and spend the rest of the day at leisure. However, if you want to head and explore some iconic destinations, the Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace is a place you should head to. Having Indo-Saracenic architecture, the palace is constructed mostly out of teakwood. Take a tour of the museum on the top floor to understand more about the Wodeyar dynasty.

Head back to the resort and have your dinner.

Wake up to a warm and sumptuous breakfast. If you feel like exercising, head out of the resort and practice yoga. The fresh morning breeze is just right for it.

Afterwards, get ready to leave for your next destination - Mysore. Located at a distance of just 150 km, you will arrive at your resort by afternoon. Check in your room and enjoy your welcome drinks. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Wake up to a warm and sumptuous breakfast. Afterwards, prepare for your next destination - Ooty. If you start early in the morning, you will arrive at your resort by late afternoon. After checking in, enjoy your welcome drinks and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Have your dinner at the resort and call it a night.

The crisp air of the morning merits a walk outside. After soaking in the fresh breeze of Ooty, have your breakfast at the resort and gear up for a full day excursion of this hill station.

Renowned as the ‘Queen of the Hill Stations”, the lakes, viewpoints and gardens rightly justify this moniker. Start your exploration with the highest peak of the Nilgiri mountains - Doddabetta Peak. This peak is 2, 637 metres and is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna. The base of the hill makes for a rewarding trek with stunning views of the entire Nilgiri range.

After soaking in the unadulterated beauty of the highest peak, head for Ooty Lake, a tranquil lake surrounded by lush green plantations on all sides. Just sit by this pristine lake or sign up for a tour of the tea plantations surrounding you.

In the evening, if you still want to be outdoors, the Udhagai Rose Garden is just 4 km from the lake. Complete with walking pathways and a variety of roses, this garden is perfect for unwinding before you head back to the resort for your dinner. (Please Note: These are suggested activities. For the definite activities that are included in the package, speak to our representative.)

Wake up to a warm and sumptuous breakfast. Afterwards, prepare for your next destination - Kodaikanal. If you start early in the morning, you will arrive at your resort by late afternoon. After checking in, enjoy your welcome drinks and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Have your dinner at the resort and call it a night.

On most days, Kodaikanal offers a morning with fresh breeze and early spring vibes. If you are fortunate enough to wake up to one such beautiful morning, we recommend you head out for a walk. Have your breakfast at the resort. Get ready for a full day sightseeing of Kodaikanal.

Start your tour of this beautiful hill station with the Pillar Rocks, famous for offering sweeping views of mountains and waterfall. However, the USP of this place are the uniquely shaped rocks. Located at a distance of around 8 km from the Pillar Rocks is the famous Bear Shola Fall. An ideal picnic spot, the falls got its name from the bears that visited the falls to drink water.

Leave the evening for a stroll along Coaker’s Walk. Just 3 km from the Bear Shola Falls, the Walk offers breathtaking views of the valleys down below. The stroll takes not more than 5 minutes and is just the activity with which you should end your entire day’s exploration of Kodai.

Head back to the resort and have a dinner inspired by the local cuisine. (Please Note: These are suggested activities. For the definite activities that are included in the package, speak to our representative.)

Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast. Prepare to check out from the resort and leave for Coimbatore.
