Start for Ooty from Coimbatore early in the morning. With the distance between the two places being 86 km, you will arrive at your destination by afternoon. Check in your room and enjoy your welcome drinks. You may spend the rest of the day at leisure or just head out for a stroll around the resort.
The crisp air of the morning merits a walk outside. After soaking in the fresh breeze of Ooty, have your breakfast at the resort and gear up for a full day excursion of this hill station.
Renowned as the ‘Queen of the Hill Stations”, the lakes, viewpoints and gardens rightly justify this moniker. Start your exploration with the highest peak of the Nilgiri mountains - Doddabetta Peak. This peak is 2, 637 metres and is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna. The base of the hill makes for a rewarding trek with stunning views of the entire Nilgiri range.
After soaking in the unadulterated beauty of the highest peak, head for Ooty Lake, a tranquil lake surrounded by lush green plantations on all sides. Just sit by this pristine lake or have a picnic lunch.
In the evening, if you still want to be outdoors, the Udhagai Rose Garden is just 4 km from the lake. Start your tour of this beautiful hill station with the Pillar Rocks, famous for offering sweeping views of mountains and waterfall. However, the USP of this place are the uniquely shaped rocks. Located at a distance of around 8 km from the Pillar Rocks is the famous Bear Shola Fall. An ideal picnic spot, the falls got its name from the bears that visited the falls to drink water.
Leave the evening for a stroll along Coaker’s Walk. Just 3 km from the Bear Shola Falls, the Walk offers breathtaking views of the valleys down below. The stroll takes not more than 5 minutes and is just the activity with which you should end your entire day’s exploration of Kodai.

Wake up to a warm breakfast at the resort. Today, you will leave for the next destination of your trip which is Munnar. Since it is located at a distance of 162 kms from Kochi, you will reach there by late afternoon. After you are welcomed by the staff at the resort, you can check in your room and unwind from your journey.
After you are well-rested, you can either indulge in leisure activities at the resort or go for a stroll around the park.
Return to the resort and have your dinner at the resort made from local spices.
Wake up to a scrumptious breakfast at the resort. The crisp morning air calls for a yoga or meditation session. Take your call and do what you feel like the most. This day is for exploring the lush green and vast tea gardens of Munnar, an attraction it is most popular for.
While there are many private tea factories all around Munnar, the one that is open to public is the Lockhart Tea Factory. Take a cab or bus to the tea estate, located approximately 15 km from Munnar. A guided tour of this 160-year-old tea factory will help you understand the nuances of the entire process of tea making.
After indulging in freshly brewed tea, you can head to Attukal Falls, one of the most scenic waterfalls of Munnar. Located just 9 km away from the main town, this is a must-visit scenic destination. With cascading waters falling down from a rolling hill, the sight is nothing less than surreal. There are trekking trails around the waterfall for the adventure enthusiasts as well.
Head back to the resort and have your dinner. Sign off for the day.
Wake up to a warm and sumptuous breakfast. Later, proceed for Kochi. After reaching Kochi, sign off from the trip and board your flight back home.
