Suggested Itinerary

We will leave for Shimla early in the morning. A pick-up point will be intimated to you, a week or so before the trip starts. Given the distance between the two places, you will arrive at your designated resort/hotel by late afternoon.

Check in your resort and unwind from the long journey. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. At night, have your dinner at the resort. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Have your breakfast at the resort. Afterwards, gear up for a full-day exploration of Shimla.

Start from the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. Built in the colonial architectural style, this was once the summer retreat palace of president of India. Today, a walk through the institute will enlighten you on the topic of Modern Indian history.

However, if your heart lies in the matter of history and you want to have a glimpse in the colonial era, the Shimla State Museum should be on your itinerary for the day. Built in the colonial architecture style, the lush green pastures surrounding the museum make it a picturesque building. Moreover, the rare collection of artefacts, paintings and other such things are bound to educate you about our history and past.

Up next on your itinerary can be the spectacular Chadwick Falls. Located at an elevation of around 1586 metres, these falls make for an interesting sight for all the nature lovers. Stay here for the sunset or visit during the monsoon, your journey will be worth it.

In the evening, head to the Mall Road which is rightly considered a haven for all the shopaholics. From woollen clothes to rare handicrafts, there are plenty of things you can forage for. The addition of various cafes and stalls make it a must-visit place for foodies as well. Take a walk through the road in the evening or just sit on the benches and soak in the views of the hills.

Some other places where you can go are the Vice Regal Lodge or Kufri, situated at an altitude of around 2,500 metres.

Head back to the resort and have a sumptuous dinner.

Leave for Manali after breakfast. Enjoy a drive past Pandoh Dam and Kullu Valley. Reach Manali in the evening and check in to your resort. Unwind from the long journey. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure. If you do feel like heading out, we suggest you check in the famous attractions close to the resort/hotel.

Have a sumptuous dinner at night. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Manali. Visit Vashishtha Kund and waterfall, Hadimba Temple, Club House and Tibetan monasteries. Spend the rest of the day unwinding at the resort or exploring the Himachal city, its beautiful markets and areas nearby. When back at the resort, have a sumptuous meal and go to sleep after a session of star gazing.

Have a warm breakfast and leave for Snow point or the Rohtang Pass. Spend the day at leisure enjoying the scenic beauty of Himachal. After a memorable experience, return to your resort for an overnight stay.

(Note: Rohtang sightseeing will be on a direct payment basis and will depend on the availability of permit.)

In the morning after breakfast, leave for Amritsar. Given the distance between Amritsar and Manali, it will take you approximately around 10 hours to reach Amritsar. You will arrive at the resort by evening. After checking in, unwind from the long journey and spend the rest of the evening at your leisure.

Have your dinner at the resort and cal it a night.

Wake up to a warm and sumptuous breakfast. Today, you may proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Amritsat.

Start with the magnificent Golden Temple. Have the langar here if you wish to or head out and explore the Hall Bazaar nearby. The Jallianwala Bagh is also located close to the Golden Temple. This place has the bullet marks from the massacre of 1919. The museum inside the complex has ashes of some of the freedom fighters in an urn. There are other historical artefacts and pieces of information as well.

In the evening, you may explore Hall Bazaar and shop for the popular things of Amritsar like Phulkari dupatta and juttis.

Return to the resort after a full-day exploration. Have your dinner and call it a night.

Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast. Afterwards, prepare to check out from the resort and leave for Delhi with beautiful memories of the trip.
