Start your exploration of god’s own country with a city tour of Kochi. Once you’ve checked into the resort and enjoyed the welcome drinks on offer, put on a comfortable pair of shoes to set out for the rest of the day.

After settling in, you can either indulge in leisure activities at the resort or go for a stroll around the property. However, if you want to head outdoors, then you have plenty of options to keep you thoroughly engaged. You can begin with a visit to Fort Kochi. Located at a distance of 6.7 kms from the main city, Fort Kochi is one of the oldest places in the state. Portuguese settlers have left remnants of their culture behind, which the township magnificently highlights through its cobbled streets and several historic artifacts. The place is also known for its fishing villages so don’t be surprised if you see a lot of nets cast out in the sea.

Have the local cuisine here, especially the fish that the shacks sell. The best way to explore Fort Kochi is on foot. You can also visit the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica located within the fort township. It is one of the most important basilicas in India with a strong colonial architectural influence.

Head back to the resort after an exploratory day and indulge in a traditional dinner.

Wake up to a warm breakfast at the resort. Today, you will leave for the next destination of your trip which is Munnar. Since it is located at a distance of 132 kms from Kochi, you will reach there by late afternoon. After you are welcomed by the staff at the resort, you can check in your room and unwind from your journey.

After you are well-rested, you can either indulge in leisure activities at the resort or go for a stroll around the park.

While there are many private tea factories all around Munnar, the one that is open to public is the Lockhart Tea Factory. Take a cab or bus to the tea estate, located approximately 15 km from Munnar. A guided tour of this 160-year-old tea factory will help you understand the nuances of the entire process of tea making.

After indulging in freshly brewed tea, you can head to Attukal Falls, one of the most scenic waterfalls of Munnar. Located just 9 km away from the main town, this is a must-visit scenic destination. With cascading waters falling down from a rolling hill, the sight is nothing less than surreal. There are trekking trails around the waterfall for the adventure enthusiasts as well.

Head back to the resort and have your dinner. Sign off for the day.
