With the rise of festivals like JLF, jewelry shows and fashion designers that are representing Indian heritage and recreating style, monuments exuding grandeur and the delectable food, Jaipur is a favourite getaway for many travellers.  During your stay here, make time to visit the City Palace, Jaigarh (One of the three hilltop forts nestled in Jaipur, Jaigarh offers a panoramic view of the entire city), Nahargarh Fort, & Jantar Mantar. Besides there are a host of local food outlets that you must try here as well from Dal Baati to laal maas.

Bikaner is not very popular on travel lists, which is why even in the 21st century, it is relatively less commercial than other places like Jaipur and Udaipur. Its labyrinth of narrow lanes, lined with shops selling street food, paan, and piles of spices, it is perfect for a laid-back holiday.  There are modest palaces, opulent havelis, and the handsome Junagarh Fort where royal heirlooms and even a reassembled fighter jet are on display. The town also boasts of the famous Karni Mata rat temple nearby, which draws considerable crowds. And the best way to explore this town is to stroll through its lanes, chat with locals, and dig into its incredible street food. Bikaner’s most popular export is after all, the Bikaneri bhujia – so highly recommended!

Suggested Itinerary

Arrive at your designated resort/hotel. Check in after 11 AM and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

There are around 365 temples in Amer. If you wish to head out after unwinding at the resort, we suggest you explore some of these temples. They are beautiful and have their own historical and mythological significance. In the evening, you may leave for the main city centre and indulge in some shopping at the two famous markets of Jaipur - Bapu Bazaar and Johri Bazaar.

Head back to the resort at night and indulge in a traditional Rajasthani fare.

Wake up to a warm and sumptuous breakfast. Soak in the warmth of the Pink City. If you are up for it, a stroll around the resort is recommended as the mornings are usually bright and sunny in Jaipur.

Afterwards, leave for Amer Fort. Located on the outskirts of the city, this historical fort has palaces, gardens, tunnels, mirror halls and more. Soak in the grandeur of the fort as you walk through the entire fort. You can hire a tour guide who will give you in-depth knowledge of the entire fort and the history behind each artifact or structure.

The fort is excellent for photography complete with vantage points both inside and outside the fort. If you feel like clicking some insta-worthy shots for your feed, this is the place to take out your camera and start clicking. In the evening, after 7 PM, a splendid light and sound show is organised. Do watch it if you want to experience one of a kind spectacle in your life.

Option 2: If you want to go further in the city and explore the other tourist attractions instead of the light and sound show, you can do that too. Watch a stunning sunset form the backdrop of the Jal Mahal or you can visit the Hawa Mahal. Located in the heart of the Pink City, this structure is made up of pink and red sandstones.

Head back to the resort and indulge in a lavish Rajasthani fare.

Wake up to a warm and hearty breakfast. Later, prepare for your onward journey to Bikaner. Given the distance between the two cities, you will arrive at your destination by late afternoon.

After checking in, spend the rest of the day at your leisure or simply unwind from the long road journey.

Have your dinner at the resort and sign off for the day.

Have your breakfast at the resort and prepare for a full-day sightseeing of Bikaner. A town famous for the Bikaneri Bhujia, this is one of the most underrated destinations in Rajasthan.

From its historical forts to the long line of scrumptious and delectable street food, there is a lot to be seen and sampled here. First up on your itinerary should be the stupendous Junagarh Fort. Built entirely out of red sandstone, this is the most popular tourist attraction of the city. Apart from the fort, the streets of Bikaner are often lined with stalls selling lip-smacking food. We suggest you indulge in some of the famous cuisines.

If you are into religion and would like the visit a temple, take a trip to the Karni Mata Temple located in Deshnoke.

Return to the resort and have a delectable Rajasthani fare for dinner. Overnight stay at the resort/hotel.

Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast and prepare to leave for Jaipur. Sign off from the trip with beautiful memories.
