WIlderness Heritage and nature centric getaway

If there’s one place in Rajasthan that gives a true depiction of it's rich wildlife, it is Sariska. Sprawling across an area of 800 sq kms, Sariska is a thickly wooded reserve with a picturesque view. Located a distance of 110 km from Jaipur in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, Sariska owes its popularity to Sariska National Tiger Reserve, which was established in the year 1955. The reserve is home to a myriad species of birds and animals. Some of the animals you could spot here are leopards, jungle cats, hyenas, jackals, sambhars, chitals, nilgai, chausingha, wild boars, etc.

The Sariska Tiger Reserve got its status as a national park in the year 1979 and attracts tourists from all over the world.

How to get there:

1. By Air: Nearest Airport is in Jaipur -  Jaipur to Sariska 110 kms

2. By Rail: Nearest Railway Sations - Alwar - Alwar to Sariska 37 kms

3. By Roads: Sariska is best reached by raods with easy access from Delhi in the north and Jaipur in the South.

Best time to visit:

The best time of the year to pay Sariska a visit is from September to March.  The Gangaur festival which is celebrated during March-April is also a popular carnival of the region and can be attended by devotees.
