A colonoscopy requires sedation but after visiting and experiencing the equivalent of a ‘holiday’ in Nainital, I wish I was sedated Okay, since this is from a cheeky blogger I am allowed to comment thus. But seriously what’s wrong with this place? It would be easier to list down what’s right Going for a holiday here was something I will not forgive myself for – cleaning out my choked closet seemed more interesting. Given the hordes of people – all sizes – it seems like a lack of space, sanitation and interesting stuff to do are all trivial issues which I seem to be blowing out of proportion. Not really Don’t do anything about it – makes it easier for a cheeky blogger to write this outlandish blog.
People roam around the Nainital lake in what seems like an aimless stride devoid of any desire or want for anything extraordinary to happen – exactly what you want from a holiday eh? Breaking loose from the tangle of misinformation and assumptions (of a fun time) that are intertwined seems tough. What I say here seems harsh but balancing gingerly between the throngs and the crummy ‘things to do’ seemed tougher than balancing my hormones The myth had been dispelled – Nainital is not a place for a relaxed holiday or even for a rambunctious cheeky blogger. Well, not one to be easily defeated, dirty lake and raucous ambience notwithstanding, I chose to make a thorough search of the places around.
What I found – Sattal, the Land of the Seven Lakes and V Resorts stucked away neatly yet alluringly on a hill-top. My first thought – a great place for a nice hot beverage and a think Far removed from Nainital where I could not hear even my own thoughts. These are just tropes – parts of the whole fabric of and don’t even begin to describe the entirety of this place which is almost like a work of art. At first look, this resort in the locale seems indefinable and as a writer all I can say is that this place is exemplar and typifies almost all that inventive persons would use to create fictional reality. It is so close to Nainital and yet far removed……..
Don’t just use your eyes to view this place. Use all your senses, have your encounter with nature in a stimulating and unexampled way and take your time to traverse V Resorts and Sattal to fully enjoy nature’s bounty. The sounds, sights and even the sound of silence evoke feelings and emotions that are inexplicable.
If you have a fixed itinerary and a stickler for schedule, then you may as well stay home. This place follows the philosophy of a slow dance – easy, relaxed and rejuvenating. Let your journey from the cozy bed, through the well-kept resort premises, to eating a freshly cooked meal of organic and natural produce, to your indulgence in activities – be indulging. Discover Sattal and V Resorts, like I did, and redefine your understanding of a holiday, seeing it from a new perspective.
