Your schedule doesn't match your partner or friends you want a break urgently, you want to do things and explore on your own. Travelling alone can be done for various reasons, and more and more people are doing it now, It is the best way to see a place, find your own strengths, weaknesses, what you like or dislike and engage with the world. So, go on, pick a place of your choice, do your research and pack your bags and get ready to go. Travelling in India alone can be a daunting idea, but believe us, lot of people are doing it. Just a few tips to for solo travellers make your journey more fulfilling. 

Advance Planning

Before travelling, read up, plan and research. You don’t have to to do a minute-by-minute detailed plan, but you should have a rough idea of your itinerary. So that when you are on your own, you don't waste time but see the destination in its entirety.

Your luggage should only have useful items. Your luggage should not bear tie you down, remember, there's no one else to help you out. So pack light, remember to take the basics, and keep the luggage comfortable enough for you to lug it around.

Try To Travel During Day

Try to start your journey during day or early morning so that you don’t have to worry if you are stuck in a new city at night when you are travelling alone.
Take your own photo- Apart from pictures of the destination, make sure you take ample selfies, or even ask people around to help you out. Your family and friends will be more interested in your pictures when you return back.

Stay Connected
Carry mobile backup with you or install Skype on your laptop or mobile so that you can stay connected with your family and friends without any cost. Your folks will be worried, also you should be cautious and keep everyone informed.

Take Yourself Out For Dinner
Choose a restaurant with bar and food of your choice. Pick a place where you can lounge about for hours, so that you can take in the environment, observe the locals. Chat with the waiter, take tips, they have the best nuggets on the local travel. This is the best way to travel and get to know a destination.

Go Out And Enjoy
Go out and enjoy alone, go for a music concert, theater, festival or if you want more fun you can go pubs and bar, make friends who are like minded and chat up with them. But a word of caution, be aware of your surroundings and always trust your instincts.

Dress Like Locals

Dressing like locals will not only make your trip safer but also it will give you a better travel experience as you become the part of the place that you are visiting and not just remain an onlooker


Meet Other Travelers

We get that you want to remain aloof from rest of the world in your trip. (After all you chose to travel alone) but accept it, there will be times when you would want to come out of that solitude spree and talk to people. You will meet a lot of travelers (especially female solo travelers or solo traveler groups). Talking to them will give you the chance to develop bonding since you will both be sharing one thing- a solo trip and eagerness to talk to other peoples.
Be patient. It can be tough travelling alone sometimes in a new city but give yourself time. Relax in the city and enjoy every function and events going on.
