Watch Sunset From Sajjangarh
On the outskirts of Udaipur is the Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary, a thickly wooded area, it is also known for the prennial Bari Lake. Visit the sanctuary to enjoy its absolutely green and quiet calm, that apart, you can spot sambars, wild bear, jackals and varieties of birds here. To enjoy a stunning sun set amidst the Aravallis, go onto the hilltop. It is a must see sight.
Tour the City Palace
City Palace, built by M thani architectural styles – mirror work, murals, silver in lay work. The palace has been part of Indian and Hollywood films such as The James Bond movie, Octopussy. See the sunset from here, it is a sight. You can also wait there and catch the Mewar Sound and Light Show show, from 7-8 pm. It costs Rs 150 per person.

Paragliding is a popular activity in Udaipur. There is a certain charm seeing the lakes, temples, forts, palaces, and the scenic landscape of Udaipur while in the air. The best season for paragliding season is September to March. Avoid the summer season for this activity, it can get very hot.
For hiking and light trekkers, Udaipur’s Aravalli part of the range provides ample opportunities. The best time to hike here is between November to February.
Shopping At Hathi Pol Bazaar
If you are looking for interesting things to do in Udaipur, go for shopping, the market has on offer traditional paintings, clothes, Rajasthani art work, silver and stone jewellery, handicrafts, antiques and traditional footwear at very reasonable prices. The wares here are a little different and more unique than in places such as Jaipur. Don’t forget to bargain.
