Consistency is perhaps the most underrated statement when it comes to celebrate music. It is almost February and in a bid to get bigger and even better, the 12th edition of Sula Fest is here because ‘You like to move it move it’, anyway! Like every year, this year too, Sula Vineyards will be hosting the most rocking and vivacious music festival ever on 2nd and 3rd February in Nashik, Maharashtra. Imagine a week chilling in a picturesque vineyard over the weekend amidst familiar music; sipping wine, grape-stomping, international delicacies that are always exciting and much more, makes you realise, ‘Dude! you are at the right place’.
Wine Love Does Not Get Bigger Or Better Than This
The highlight of the SulaFest is undoubtedly the vino. The organisers conduct special tours and tastings that might require VIP tickets. Although they are priced higher than regular tickets, you get a host of privileges (like access to VIP Dome and VIP Parking, gift vouchers and even two free glasses of wine) which might be value for money in the long run. All the wine tastings take place in the Tasting Room.
Apart from the wines that have been produced in the vineyards of Sula, the tastings include samples from wine partners of that particular edition of the SulaFest as well. Some of the wines from the Sula stable are Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc, Zinfandel, Riesling and Blanc de Noir sparkling wine Brut Tropicale.
If wine is not your cup of tea, you can also enjoy other drinks from around the world by Sula Selections, that is the import arm of Sula. The brands include Asahi Super Dry Beer, Budweiser, Cointreau, Grants Reserve, Jgermeister, Jack Daniels Tennessee whiskey, William Grant and Sons, Stolichnaya vodka, Good Juicery and Bisleri.
Had enough of drinks, now it’s time to head out for a grape stomping session, that promises to be a fun affair. Your feet might get messy and head a little giddy, but this is one experience that you will remember for a very long time (and might even be the main reason why you come back next year as well).
Alternatively, take part in the selection of quirky games conducted around the arenas. The selfie game (approaching random strangers and getting selfies with as many of them in a minute or less) is very popular, so we recommend you give it a shot, especially if you consider yourself a selfie master.
Big Names. Bigger Performances
From last few years, SulaFest has brought together some truly big names in the music industry, including national and international artists and the 12th edition is no different. With over 100 domestic and international artists from 23 nations, 25 genres, something for everyone, MIND IT!
Some of the artists who are going to rule includes Mother’s Cake (Austria), Hallouminati (UK), Jungle (UK), Lucille Crew (Israel), Nothing Anonymous (India), Sashanti (Russia) and many more. If you are unsure whose performances you should catch this year, we have you sorted with three names: Shankar Mahadevan, Nikhil Chinappa and Vivian aka Divine.
Wait, There Is More
Tired? Head for a fish spa or foot massage at the venue itself. Bored? There are tarot card readers, tattoo (temporary only, for safety reasons) and portrait artists, who will keep you entertained and engaged throughout the festival.
PS: Don’t forget to shop for some quirky items at the flea market which has a range of items like junk jewellery, party props, shows and clutches, paintings, clothes, home decor, wooden toys, and of course, wines and all related accessories like wine racks and openers.
