Located at an altitude of 1067 meters, Mhaismal is a picture perfect holiday destination, where the moon disappears down the hills and mountains vanish into the fog. Mhaismal is a charming hill station situated in the Aurangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. The place was originally called Maheshmal for the Maheshmal village within the place. The hills are a part of the farthest Eastern limits of the Sahyadri ranges. With a distance of about 37 km from the urban city, Aurangabad and 12 km from the rural area of Khuldabad, the hilly Mhaismal is a pleasant area with a rich biodiversity. Sources speak that the temperatures rarely go above 32 degree Celsius and below 7 adegree Celsius. Travellers living in the North are not aware, but it is a popular destination for those in Pune and Mumbai.
