Travelling during winters always comes across as a good idea, but what often holds us back are the skyrocketing prices of flight tickets. But now, Air India has come up with a pleasant surprise for travellers in the form of cheap flights.
What’s the buzz?
At a time when flight tickets are available at insane prices, Air India will be offering tickets at a surprisingly low price of INR 1,000. Starting November 30, Air India is introducing night flights on three major air routes—Bengaluru-Ahmedabad-Bengaluru, Delhi-Coimbatore-Delhi and Delhi-Goa-Delhi, wherein the base fares start at INR 1,000.
What should you know?
The Bengaluru-Ahmedabad-Bengaluru flight will depart Bengaluru at 12.30 am (AI589), while AI590 will depart Ahmedabad at 3.05 am. AI547 is scheduled to depart New Delhi at 9.15 pm, while AI548 will depart Coimbatore at 1 am. A flight likely to get a lot of bookings this winter, flight number AI883 will take off from New Delhi at 10 pm, while on the way back from Goa, AI884 will depart Goa at 1.15 am.
What’s our take?
Travelling in winter doesn’t just involve vacations. A lot of people who work in cities, away from home, want to utilise the winter holidays to go back to where they belong and spend quality time with their families. Hopefully this initiative by Air India will prove to be a saviour for many a traveller.
