The Zee Jaipur Lit Fest (the Literature Festival, for those who aren’t in the know) is upon us again, and if you’re one of those rare people who likes to read, but has never attended, we suggest you rectify that immediately!
Over the past 10 years, the festival has hosted nearly 2,000 speakers and almost a million visitors, and it just keeps getting better.
Why Should I Go There?
The speakers at this year’s Jaipur Lit Fest include Pulitzer Prize winner Colson Whitehead; the international bestselling author of ‘The Book Thief’,Markus Zusak; Andrew Sean Greer, author of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize winning novel ‘Less’; acclaimed British novelist and journalist Hari Kunzru; Tamil author, scholar and literary chronicler Perumal Murugan; astrophysicist and Professor at Yale, Priyamvada Natarajan, and even Manisha Koirala.
Where Can I Stay?
Grab a room (quick, they’re going fast!) at V Resorts Adhbhut Jaipur, which is located in Amer, a 15-minute drive from Jaipur city, so you’re far away from the crowd, but close enough to be right in the middle of the action.
Find out more about the resort and book a room here.
What Should I Know?
The 2019 edition of the Jaipur Lit Fest will take place January 24-28, 2019. You can check out the official website here for more information.
