Located some 16 km from the resort, the Neelkantheshwar Temple complex (or simply Neelkanth Temple) lies on a small plateau, and the path going up to it offers splendid views. While the main temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, there are several smaller shrines outside. Experts believe that the original temple dates back to the 8th century. History buffs will also love the Bhangarh Fort (25 km from the resort) and the fascinating legends behind it. Built by Man Singh I for his grandson in the 17th century, the fort is associated with a lot of 'ghostly' tales in the popular imagination. The fort complex is dotted with a number of temples, and the ruins of an old bazaar in the foreground of green hills make a striking impression. Even if you're not the superstitious types, the myths and aura surrounding this place will take you back to a distant past. Another intriguing, though slightly inaccessible place in the heart of the sanctuary is the Kankwari Fort. It is here that Mughal emperor Aurangzeb jailed his brother, Dara Shikoh, who was later executed.
Discover a slice of rural life in this part of Rajasthan, a few kilometres away from the resort. The local communities here include the Gujjars, a tribe traditionally used to a nomadic lifestyle. In recent decades, however, they have been leading a more settled existence. Join us for a trip to a Gujjar village, and get a glimpse of an authentic village community — receptive to a changing India and yet in touch with their customs and traditions. Hear the villagers’ stories over a cup of chai.
Several interesting temples dot the landscape. These include the Pandupol Hanuman Temple inside the Sariska forest (legend has it that the heroes of the Mahabharat, the Pandavas, spent time here during their exile); and the Narayani Mata temple, on the edge of the national park.
V Resorts Sariska has eight tents (with canvas walls) and two pavilions (with stone wall and canvas roof). The elegant rooms are designed to provide a memorable and comfortable stay.
The dining area can easily accommodate 24 people.
Relax in the common room, sip on a cool drink or tea, or play some indoor games. Pick between Ludo, Checkers or a game of cards.
Relax in the Gazebo in the evening. Take in the views of the wilderness.
After a dip in the pool, catch hold of a cool lemonade and relax at the poolside.

- 3 Places That Will Make You Fall In Love With India (Again)
- August 03, 2016
I thought that the road trip to the hotel would put a damper on the experience but I was wrong. The moment you enter the grounds you are transported to a subdued unpretentious luxury with unsurpassed attention to service and details. This is one place where the excellent brochure is surpassed by the actual experience. If the hotel experience is not enough to make you come back again and again, the trips to the town and local village will be. These experiences are not possible when you are close to urban Indian life. Go on the road less traveled to V Resorts Sariska and experience the India that few will ever see.
Best thing about this resort is great hospitality. The owner, manager and staff took care of us extremely well. Its a huge quiet resort with awesome views (sp. sunrise, sunset & star gazing point) & easy check-in experience. They have excellent decks for dinner with daily local cuisine specials. The resort has a homely feel to it and the camps...
Just one word to describe it Amazing. We loved the place. Since you enter you feel like you are in a different planet. Service is spectacular. The dinning area is great with a very refined taste, and the food is outstanding. The owner is very friendly and the most amazing guy we have ever met. He took us to some...
One of a best place to visit and relax from the busy metro life. One can find peace and connect with self. Visitors are treated like they are at home. The food served is just amazing. Great hospitality. Had an amazing time. The jungle Safari is another amazing thrill. Still in love with the sambar dear of national park.
This place is highly recommended for people who would like to rejuvenate themselves by relaxing..our journey started with the owner LUV (an apt person for hospitality) personally welcoming us to the resort and taking us to our hideout..our tent..and once we were inside the cozy bed and the immaculate washroom which was spotlessly clean and had all the essential amenities....and the room made us feel more relaxed... the first day went well by visiting the nearby lakes and exploring the wilderness and staring at the stars which is rare in our metro cities... the next morning we woke up to the chirping of the sparrows.. and our ears were thanking us for that..the nearby safari is greattt.. altogether an amazing experience.. breathtaking surroundings and best services. ..complete package...and totally worth it. .. a very big congratulations and a very well done to luv and his team...
